Thank you all for your comments on my last post. My pyjamas are from last year's Oysho collection, since you guys loved them so much! I bet there are some cute pieces this year, too. I already bought a knitted cardigan from there.
This weekend I'm flying home for a few days, daddy's birthday. That means home made food, cupcakes, restaurants I love, aunts bringing baskets of food. Yes, food is an expression of love here, too. Damn.
So starting from today and until Friday I'm trying this new "thing".
Cappuccino and breakfast-something (no more than 300 cals) and then boiled veggies for the rest of the day (no oil, just some salt and lemon juice). This way I can start my day with happiness (hello, cappuccino) and I can go to bed hungry but thinking I will eat something nice in the morning. During the day I don't mind, I am very busy usually. So the whole daily intake cannot go over 600. I also have three times Pilates this week (big smile). I can only afford one more month of pilates for this year (2011) so I'm going to make it count.
I think the key here is to enjoy every meal you have, so when your mind wants to think of food you can think of what you ATE and was really good and how it satisfied you, and not what you are going to eat next and how many calories will it have, and whether you should eat it or not (you know..). Rather difficult, I must say. But I think I'm going to try that.
omg, I love this photo..
I'm with you on eating something good for breakfast so that you have something to look forward to in the morning! That way it fuels your body for the whole day and everything else is to maintain satiety. Great minds think alike! :)

For the longest time I always skipped breakfast because it was the one meal that no one even noticed if I didn't eat but I found out that you actually lose more weight if you eat within 30 minutes of waking up. So I eat now but always under 200 (preferably 100) calories.
ReplyDeleteAw thank you so much for your sweet
ReplyDeletecomment about the shop! It seems I've missed out on some sweet pyjama action :)
I agree about eating something nice once a day and enjoying the food you DO eat, as opposed to thinking about what you can't have. xx
I'm trying to eat something small in the morning instead of skipping it and I've noticed a lot less binges and I feel like I've got more control during the day since I'm not 100% hungry.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have fun while you are home!
It works! Eating something small (and enjoyable) in the mornings has actually helped me lose. Even just fruits & small amount of oats- yummy & healthy. Good luck :)

What is this 'buying' a 'knitted cardigan' you speak of? It doesn't make sense. Surely you bought the wool and then knitted a cardigan, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm a total slut for Vogue's pattern books at the library. The shawl one is to DIE for! Help me steal it? :p
So stealing your idea, btw. Its awesome :D
Take care <3
That is a brilliant plan! I am always thinking about what I am going to eat next, which just sets me up for overeating. I start to justify and reason my meals, and come up with excuses why I can eat the things I do. You have now inspired me to focus on what I have eaten, too! Hopefully I can feel some satisfaction and full-/completeness from it.
ReplyDeleteoatmeal makes me feel so good :)
